THE Road Transport Lieltitie Act 1957, which eonsolidates the law on the subject, received the Royal Assent last week.
Other transport measures which received the Royal Assent were: Reading Corporation (Trolley Vehicles) Provisional Order Act; Doncaster Corporation (Trolley Vehicles) Provisional Order Act; British Transport Commission Act; Dartford Tunnel Act; and Hastings Tramways Act.
The Hastings Act authorizes Maidstone and District Iviotor Services Ltd., to abandon the trolleybuses in Hastings and Bexhill and to replace them by motorbuses.
