Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Hard-pressed container hauliers could see an explosion of work over the coming years, according to a new report which suggests container traffic will rise 60% by 2005. World Container Terminals, by Drewry Shipping Consultants, claims that more than 200 new terminals will be needed to meet worldwide demand in the next eight years. An extra 23.7 million containers a year are expected to pass through the ports of Western Europe. Giant port management groups such as P&O are likely to benefit from the expansion, says the report. The growth has been sparked by the efficiency and security of container shipments.
