Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AT a sitting in Bournemouth last week the South Eastern Traffic Commissioners reserved their decision on an application by Hants and Dorset Motor Services Ltd. for a new stage carriage service between Wimborne Minster and Fordingbridge, and a limited-stop service between Bournemouth and Southampton. Excelsior European Motorways Ltd., Bournemouth, objected.

Appearing for the applicant, Mr. Philip Evans pointed out that Hants and Dorset had no licences for Continental tours, but wanted timings on the Bournemouth-Southampton service to be flexible so that journeys could be Lied in with sailings of the Thoresen Car Ferry from Southampton.

Mr. J. D, MacDonald. for Excelsior European Motorways Ltd., said that his client's principal objection was to the timiti&of the Bournemouth-Southampton servM4,to fink with sailings for the Continent. The grant of this application could result in serious loss of traffic.
