Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THERE are four weeks left before we close the entries for the Mark Vane Memorial Award for 1983. Nine entries have been selected for the judges' consideration and entry is still open.

The award is being made as a result of a community action which followed the tragic death of Mark Vane, one of five brothers involved in transport in Kent. Nominations can be made by anyone who considers they have witnessed, experienced or have evidence of an act of courtesy, care or courage on the road by another road user.

The winner will receive a suitably inscribed piece of Kent stone which will be retained for one year. On a visit to Sweden, Volvo AB will present a similar award in Swedish glass for permanent retention.

A record of the act will be recorded in a bound volume for perpetuity.

Entries should be sent to The Mark Vane Memorial Award, do Commercial Motor, Room 304C, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey. The action should be described at whatever length is necessary to give precise details and the entry should be accompanied by a head and shoulders black and white photograph of the nominee.

Final judging will take place during November and the presentation and Swedish trip will take place in December.

Entries close on October 31.
