Newcastle Upon Tyne
A NEW and separate international road freight office has been opened by the DoE in Newcastle. The office will take over responsibility for issuing permits to hauliers operating to certain foreign destinations, previously handled for the entire UK by the NortIlern traffic area office, also in Newcastle.
The manager is Mr Robert Hughes and the address of the new office is the same for that of the Northern traffic area: it is IRFO, Low Friar House, 36/42 Low Friar Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5XR (telephone (0632) 610031; telex 53551).
