Mr. Newman is a deputy County Court Judge for Lancashire and Cheshire and a barrister on the northern circuit. He took his first goods licensing sitting in Manchester on Wednesday. The , Minister of Transport has appointed Mr. F. Hickman and Ald. CI. J. Norris as members of the Transport Users' Consultative Committee for the South Eastern area. Aid. Norris is a member of the highways. and transport committee. Association of Municipal Corporations.
Mr. G. J. Stanley, general sales manager, has been appointed sales director of Voices Ltd.

Tantlinger, vice-president, Engineering and Manufacturing Fruehauf Trailer Corporation: Mr. R. D. Rowan, vice-president and controller, Fruehauf Trailer Corporation and Mr. P. J. Green, director of Wall Engineering Co. Ltd. Mr. W. A. Whitehead, for the past 20 years iransport manager for Greenall. Whitley and Co. Ltd., St. Helens. retired at the end of October. Before joining the company he was transport engineer with British Insulated Callenders Cables Ltd. for 2.3 years. A luncheon was recently given in his honour by the Merseyside and North Wales Committee of the T.R.T.A.
Mr. D. A. Farrow has been appointed sales manager of Renault Ltd. He joined t4e company in 1960 and .was formerly assistant sates manager. Mr. Farrow takes over from Mr. j. B. Allerton, who has accepted a new appointment as general sales manager to a large London car distributor.
Mr. G. E. Papworth has been appointed staff officer. headquarters, B.R.S. (Parcels) Ltd. Mr. A. R. Denhohn has been appointed general fleet sates manager of the Perkins Group. Mr. Denholm, who is 40, joined E Perkins Ltd. in 1954 and has held several marketing appointments within the group.
The Minister of Transport has appointed Mr. It. P. Roberts as chairman of the Transport Users' Consultative Committee for Wales and Monmouthshire. He succeeds Prof. Arthur Beacham.
Leyland Chairman ONpage 57 of last week's issue, it was erroneously stated that Mr. Donald Stokes had been appointed chairman and managing director of the Leyland Motor Corporation. As correctly printed on page 40 of that issue, Mr. Stokes is managing director and deputy chairman, and the chairman of the Corporation remains Sir William Black.
