• More than 80% of the trucks using Dover's RO-RO services are articulated, according to the latest Government survey.
Only a quarter of UK rigids passing through the port are pulling a drawbar trailer, compared with 75% of foreignregistered vehicles. The survey shows that Dover's busiest time for road freight is in the mornings between 04:00 and 12:00hrs. Foreign vehicles use the port most between Monday and Thursday.
The majority of UKregistered trucks travel through the port between Thursday and Saturday.
