Cadzow gives Actros the heavy treatment
CADZOW HEAVY Haulage has taken delivery ot a new £180,000 Mercedes-Benz Actros for use on its specialist operations.
The truck left the factory as a 6x4 tractor unit, but was then converted to 8x4 specification by German engineering firm Titan.
With the additional steering axle, the Actros Titan is now plated for Special Types operation at 250tomes GCW and the modif ications also include a reinforced chassis and a 900-litre fuel tank. To accommodate the extra kit, Titan has moved the air tanks, batteries, exhaust stack and hydraulic transmission coolers behind the cab.
