John Darker, who w one of the first to congratulate Road Haulage Association area secretary Peter Webb on his promotio to the South Wales appointment 10 years ago, h been back to see Peter and has also visited another old friend, Terry Barnes, of the Freight Transport Association.

Alan Millar has interviewo Edgar Williams, managing director of the Transport Development Group's Williams Bros (Wales) Ltd, Connah's Quay, in Clwyd. Edgar has persisted with comprehensive staff trainini schemes which others in industry are still reluctant to try.
