Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

OLD AGE pensioners and the handicapped in Fife Region are being given free bus and train travel between December 10 and January 6.

As a result of increased efficiency by Scottish Bus Group's Alexander (Fife) company, the regional council has £39,000 extra cash available to allow concession ticket holders to enjoy a festive season bonus.

The region introduced a half-price concession scheme on April 1 which allows bus travel within the region and on trunk routes into Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, and Perth. It is also valid on similar rail services.

SBG has asked for an additional £620,000 when the scheme is extended into the next financial year, while British Rail says it wants another £60,000.
