;RITISH drivers on foreign trips are becoming a target, for oreign criminals who know that the men will be carrying large urns of money in cash.
Now Transport and General Workers Union national organ3er Jack Ashwell is to urge Road Haulage Association members o give their drivers Giro facilities instead of cash for the ourneys.
Mr Ashwell has been told by the International Transport Vorkers Federation that it is now common knowledge that iritish drivers are carrying large sums in cash.
He says that the warning has come following the case of a 3ritish driver who was shot in Austria.
