• Mr John Peyton, at a Tuesday meeti on lorries and the environment, tc representatives of industry and lot authority associations that if indusi wanted the public to accept lorries as a fi of life then it must be prepared to accept growing public concern about the harm environmental effects of lorries in narr, streets and lanes.
Mr Peyton said that the Government set aside £10m for the development of lo parks and was speeding up the rc building programme to help alleviate problem.
