Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO similar applications were heard simultaneously at Northampton on Tuesday.

The East Midlands Traffic Commissioners reserved their decisions on applications from Wallace Arnold Tours Ltd. and Wesley's Coach Services to operate summer tours to Ireland.

Wallace Arnold, which already operates Irish tours, objected to Wesley's application. Wallace Arnold sought permission to pick up from Northampton—at present its tours originate in London and its nearest picking up points to Northampton are Bedford and Luton.

For Welsey's—objecting to Wallace Arnold's application to pick up in Northampton—Mr. W. T. Wesley said his firm would like for the first time to offer Irish tours.
