With the object of investigating the capabilities of roadless vehicles in East Africa, Morris Commercial Cars, Ltd., are despatching one of their MorrisRoadless-Traction ton trucks in the company of one of their representatives to the Kenya Colony. It is intended that the vehicle, immediately on arrival at Kilindi, the port of Mombasa, shall proceed under its own power up country to Nairobi. Instead of making the usual journey by train, the representatives of the company will travel with the vehicle and arrangements have been made for, them to sleep in the body of the truck itself. It is expected that much useful data concerning the value and possibilities of such vehicles for Empire development will result from the trial, which will be conducted under close observation all the time.
