A. National Transport Congress is to be held in Dublin on December 35th and 16th, and from replies which the organizers have received to invitations issued to local authorities and many transport organizations, it is evident that the Congress is creating much interest, and that a large number of representatives will take part in the proceedings. Replies to the committee's invitation have been received from Sir Henry Maybury, K.C.M.G., Director-General of the Roads Branch of the Ministry of Transport, and from Mr. E. Shrapnell-Smith, C.B.E., President of the Commercial Motor Users Association, who are to be entertained at a public luncheon at the Shelbourne Hotel on December 15th.

During-the course of the Congress papers will be read dealing with the co-ordination of road and rail transport by Mr. J. H. Steadman, M.Inst. C.E., County Surveyor of Donegal, and Mr. Robert Davison, Minst.C.U., County Surveyor of Limerick.
