FOR LOCAL WORK" 'THE Northern Licensing Authority, I at a recent sitting, urged a Gateshead concern, Sigmund Pumps, Ltd., to contact British Road Services when it wished local haulage to be carried out. The company was supporting an application by Mr. R. Stork, Gateshead, to extend his operational radius from 10 to 30 miles.

It was stated that Mr. Stone was granted a B licence four years ago, but that he could not find enough work to make a living within the 10-mile radius granted him. The application was refused.
