Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A truck driver was killed when his artic crashed through a bridge parapet on the N7 Dublin-Cork Road outside Kildare and fell 30ft onto a railway line.

Dubliner Robert McNeill, 51, died when the container loaded with 21 tonnes of timber crushed the roof of his Mercedes tractor.

Police say no other vehicle was involved.

A spokesman for the truck's operator, McMahon Transport of Dublin, says that everyone at the company is traumatised by the tragedy; he did not wish to discuss it further.

A witness averted a worse disaster by signalling to an oncoming train to stop: cranes from a nearby army base lifted the wreckage from the tracks. An inquiry is now underway.
