A GANG WHO kidnapped a truck driver at gunpoint and stole his £170,000 load of computer equipment have had appeals against their prison sentences rejected by the Appeal Court.

In June 2003, nine men were jailed for a total of 99 years at Worcester Crown Court: seven were convicted of conspiracy to kidnap and steal, and two of conspiracy to steal ( CM18 March).

The Appeal Court has now ruled that six of the men's sentences were suitable, including those of ringleader Terry Cutler, who was jailed for 18 years. and his accomplice Philip Price, who was jailed for 14 years.
