A PROPOSAL to abolish workers'
returns on all stage services in Bolton Corporation's operating area has been made to the North Western Licensing Authority by Bolton Transport Department and joint operators. This is the second time Bolton have applied to discontinue workers' returns; a similar application in July last year was rejected.
TROLLF,YBUSES DISPLACED I N an attempt to avoid having to replace overhead equipment on the route, Grimsby Transport Department on Sunday displaced trolleybuses by motorbuses on the Freeman, StreetHainton Avenue service for an experimental period of three months. If the experiment is a success the trolleyhuses will probablv be, sold.
