• A one-day conference "Confidence in the System (Making Transport Safe), is being held by the Chartered Institute of Transport on 22 January in Birmingham.
The meeting is from 09:00 to 16:30hrs, at Aston University in Birmingham. It is open to CIT members at £49 and to non-members at £54. Christopher Chope, Minister for Roads and Traffic, is giving the keynote address.
