Traffic Commissioners John Mervyn Pugh and Brigadier Compton Boyd are retiring within a month of each other.

David Dixon, whose background is in railways, ports and shipping, is taking over from Pugh as TC for the West Midland and South Wales traffic areas from 17 May.
