• Italdesign unveiled a prototype four-wheel-drive vehicle at the recent Turin Motor Show. Designed primarily as a luxury seven-seater, Columbus can be converted into a van by removing the passenger seats. Power comes from a transverse, centrally mounted BMW vee-twelve engine.
Columbus will be seen at Expo '92 in Genoa, the Olympics in Barcelona and Expo in Seville.
