Exel Logistics has acquired another US company increasing its North American operation to a fleet of 600 vehicles and 3,000 employees.
JH Coffman, which specialises in distributing to the health-care market, has been bought for £1.9m ($3.2m).
It has depots in Los Angeles and Chicago.
