Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW part-load rail-trunking service from Milton Freight Terminal near Abingdon to Motherwell in Scotland started on May 4.

The terminal operator, Lansdown International Facilities, is aiming the service at hauliers who normally cover this part of the route by road: the intention is that the hauliers will instead bring the goods to Milton Freight Terminal where they will be transferred to the 26-ton payload rail wagons. The destination is another road/rail terminal at Law Junction, Motherwell operated by Isis Link.

Collection and delivery at either end can be arranged using sub-contracted hauliers although this is optional. The service will initially operate northwards on Tuesdays and Thursdays, departing at 2.30pm and arriving at 7.30am the next day. If successful, the service will become daily in the Autumn.

Early interest in the service indicates that it will be mainly industrial goods moving northwards and consumer goods coming in the opposite direction. The timing of the southbound service is not yet definite so the company is not yet actively promoting it.
