THE Blackpool conference of the Public Transport Association which

takes place from May 18-20 promises to be interesting and varied in respect of both its papers and visits.

A civic reception will be at the Norbreck Hydro Hotel in the evening of the first day. The first paper will be read on May 19 by Mr. S. C. Vince, chief engineer of the Birmingham and Midland Omnibus Co., Ltd., on the subject "Brakes as Applied to Public Service Vehicles."
