Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Did you know that a single candle burning in the cab will keep frost at bay if you're stranded in a truck in midwinter with the heater off? Are you aware that a daily fry-up and chips is a good way for a truck driver to start an ulcer?

Kitting out driver and cab for winter journeys and advising on driving diets are only two of the practical sections of a remarkably readable and information-packed booklet Make sure on the road which Commercial Union Assurance has just produced as part of a free package for transport managers and drivers. Of course, it is not entirely altruistic, as the literature is good (but discreet) publicity for CU; but it is so well done that I'm sure many managers and drivers will welcome it. I've suggested to Alan Wilson, national secretary of CM LDoY, that he might take a look at the booklet with the regional and national contests in mind.

The package includes posters, claims forms and defect reminders but the heart of it is the drivers' booklet, which uses modern fullcolour illustrations and the very minimum of text to cover just about every legal and practical aspect of professional driving. It's being distributed through CU branches and insurance brokers but you can write for copies to the company's headquarters at St Helen's, 1 Ur.dershaft, London EC3P 3DQ.
