A DEVICE enabling vehicles -carrying, hazardous toads to comply with new ADR and draft Home Office requirements has been produced by Drum Engineering, The regulations call for a double-pole battery switch to isolate the electrical circuits. The switch must be easily accessible from outside the vehicle and be able to be remotely operated from the driver's seat. The Drum air-operated switch, which can be manually operated by persons outside the vehicle, will function remotely at least once after complete failure of the vehicle air supply. It has been approved by local DoE officials.

Drum Engineering will modify new or existing vehicles at its Leeds depot or it will supply a conversion kit when necessary.
