WE regret to record the death of Col. A. Jerrett.

Col. Jerrett was for many years a leading figure in the road transport industry. Nearly 40 years ago he was elected to the council of the former Commercial Road Users' Association, of which he later became president. He also became the first president of the TRTA, an office which he held for 12 years. He was a former chairman of the National Road Transport Federation and had held the presidency of IRU. Col. Jerrett, who was 77 at the time of his death, was associated for 14 years with the former Guy Motors Ltd., Wolverhampton, which he joined in 1945 as a director. He became managing director of the company in 1957, a position he held until his retirement in 1959.
