L.T. LOSES 100m. PASSENGERS

THE frequency of several London Transport bus services is to be reduced from next month. The cause is mainly a decline of 100m. passengers on the Executive's 'central road services during 1954. This is a drop of more than 3 per cent. on 1953 figures.

This step, which is expected to result in greater regularity of service and economies in expenditure, will also alleviate the shortage of staff, which now amounts to 2,700 drivers and conductors.
