• More than 300 fitters from 60 companies have attended training courses for workshop engineers introduced this year by Rubery Owen-Rockwell at its Llay, Wrexham, hq, now being held at least twice a week, and run by a customer services team led by Peter O'Connor.
Says RO-R sales and marketing director Robin Nunley: "The increase in sales particularly of air suspension systems means workshop staff have to be kept continually abreast of developments. There is a big market need and we are delighted with the popularity of these courses."
The programme is part of the firm's commitment to increased safety and reliability and is part of its European Quality Initiative launched in June by Secretary of State for Wales Peter Walker.
