Mr. Nuttall, head of Kent County Council weights and Measures department who has been using the equipment experimentally for about six months said that action Would not be taken on this small margin of overload unless the operator persistently overloaded. He said that between 10 and 15 per cent of vehicles stopped were found to be overloaded.
