Transport Department, believes that the undertaking's revenue has reached its peak and that any further increase in fares would prove abortive. He says in his annual report that relief from taxation is essential if the present standard of the transport service is to be maintained.
In the year ended March 31 last, revenue on services operated jointly with the Devon General Omnibus and Touring Co., Ltd., increased sharply, although mileage was, reduced.
