• GKNI Axles is launching a 7,500kg front-steer axle at the Motor Show with which the company aims to meet the growing demand for HGV front plated axle weights over seven tonnes.
The prototype S75, which will be produced at GKN's Kirkstall division, will undergo trials later this year, with volume production anticipated in 1991. GKN Axles hopes it will open up opportunities on the Continent.
