TRICENTROL COACHES have applied for a thrice-weekly express service from Derby to Paris with a £41 excursion return fare.
The service is planned to run via Nottingham, Loughborough, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Dunstable, Luton and Dover, and will use the Boulogne ferry to serve Amiens en route to Paris.
Tricentrol wants the service to run from June to September, and to have single, return, and extended day return fares. The extended day return fare would be valid where the return journey is completed within 48 hours of the start of the outward journey.
The single through fare to Paris would be £27, the period return £54, and the extended day return £41.
