• This year's European truck racing champion, Curt Goransson, notched up another Superfinal win last weekend at the Perkins Powerprix at Brands Hatch. Goransson took the lead early and managed to retain pole position right to the chequered flag, despite a constant challenge from George Allen in the Volvo White.
Third came Hans George de Marwitz in his Century Oils MAN, followed closely by fellow team mate Richard Walker.
Slim Borgudd failed to qualify for the Superfinal after a power-steering failure in Heat One and an electrical failure in the second round.
