ABOUT 70 members of the TRTA (Metropolitan) went on a one-day visit to Rotterdam this week. The first Continental visit under TRTA auspices, it was arranged by Algemene Verladers eu Vervoerders Organisatie (AVVO, the TRTA's Dutch counterpart) and Havenbedrijf der Gerrneente Rotterdam (the Rotterdam Harbour Authority).
The TRTA men saw the Pakhuismeesteren International Container Consortium facilities and inspected Europort's roll-on roll-off facilities. Headed by Metropolitan chairman Mr. A. E. Prescott (Austin's of East Ham Ltd.), the party included honorary secretary Mr. T. A. Jenkinson (James Latham Ltd.).
