SCHOOLS, police stations, offices and residences for State officials posted to outlying districts are being moved in semi-erected form by road transport to country areas in Victoria, Australia. The Public Works Department, which prefabricates the buildings at its Port Melbourne factory, has a scheme for training men in the transport and erection of the structures.
Movement from factory to site is by five Leyland Hippos and nine Leyland Comets. The vehicles can tow either special low-loading semi-trailers or normal semi:trailers 28 ft. long.
