This frame has four plates mounted on radial arms and the tips are arranged to conform with the radius of the wheel. Pressure is applied by means of a threaded capstan nut until the tyre becomes disengaged from the rim. A bead separator is available as an extra for tyres fast-bonded to corroded rims.
