Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A S a result of the administrative re

organization at present taking place in British Road Services, eight districts of British Road Services Ltd., the general haulage company, have been regrouped

and, in some cases, renamed. These districts are now directly responsible to the company's headquarters at Melbury House. London. They are:—

Northern (formerly Tyne/Tees); West Midlands (formerly Birmingham); East Midlands (formerly Leicester); Stoke; Notts and Derby; Peterborough; South Western (formerly West of England); South Midlands (formerly Oxford).

This is an interim stage in the elimination of what is recognized as the divisional level in the administrative structure. Eventually, there will be manage

ment entities at the following centres:—

Scottish, based at Glasgow; Northern (Newcastle upon Tyne); North Western (Manchester); Yorkshire (Leeds); South Yorkshire and Lincoln (Sheffield); North Midlands (Nottingham); West Midlands (Birmingham); East Midlands (Leicester); East Anglia (Norwich); South Wales (Cardiff); South Midlands (Oxford); South Western (Bristol).

The number of accounting offices is also to be reduced. it is envisaged that there will be accounting points at the following places:—

Glasgow: Newcastle upon Tyne; Manchester; Leeds; Birmingham; Leicester; Cardiff; Oxford; Bristol.

The final structure of the present South Eastern Division is not yet settled.
