riA SPECIAL road safety campaign which was operated in Hackney, Leyton and WalthamsLow from October 18 to November 1, last year, proved such a success that the scheme is to be taken up by Stepney, Poplar and West Ham.
Named the "Roadcraft Campaign," it has the support of the Metropolitan Police who give advice to road users in the areas and visit schools. Local vehicle operators have been asked to instruct their drivers to wear road safety medals while the campaign is in progress.
