Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

II Environmental conditions have been imposed on the licence of the Scottish Milk Marketing Board's Ayr depot.

The Board had applied to base three vehicles at the recently acquired Victoria Dairy, Ayr. The application attracted a 36signature petition from neighbouring residents.

When the case came before Scottish Licensing Authority Keith Waterworth, the residents complained about vehicles being Left in the street, causing unnecessary noise and blocking driveways. They said that the dairy vehicles operated between 03:00hrs and 21:00hrs.

Scottish MMB chief Gavin Scott said that the application was designed to replace the licence held by the previous owner of Victoria Dairy. It was planned to base a 7.5-tonne milk tanker at the site. In addition, there were two electric milk floats and nine 1.5-tonne delivery vehicles operating from the site. The Board was now allowing drivers to take vehicles home at night to lessen the nuisance to the residents.

The LA imposed a 7.5-tonne limit and hours controls on the movements at the depot.
