Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by lain Sherriff • It was a low scoring day in Aberdeen last Sunday; the average of the 10 class winners was 89.2 penalties. G. Moroney, who qualified for last year's final, will be back at Bramcote this year. He collected only 87 penalties in Class H and will be pained by two other Shell and BP drivers, K. Ogg and G. Scott.

In Class A a tie between two GPO drivers was settled on the road route result when A. P. Petrie had four fewer penalties than G. R. Mitchell, The GPO gained the team award and another Post Office man, A. Reid, won the overall championship.

Long-distance operators G. T. Fraser and J. G. Barrack Ltd. will provide two finalists this year. National Carriers Ltd. has added to its challenge at the final by winning Class Fill. This was a remarkable performance by D. J Canning, a junior who at 22 has only been driving for nine months.

As in other rounds, it was the parking test which took the heaviest toll of aspiring finalists. It appeared in this test that drivers were either extremely competent or hopelessly incompetent. Too many failed to use the variable line to advantage.

Aberdeen is a safety-conscious city with national champions in motor scooter, motorcycle and car driving, and it hopes to add the Lorry Driver of the Year championship to its impressive list.

The public turned out in large numbers at the event; by lunch-time over 1,000 were present. This number trebled after lunch.

There is still one Scottish round to be completed at Edinburgh on June 15. This will mean that about 47 Scots will compete at the final on September 7.
