Windows: side windows, are double glazed, toughened glass 59fin. long by 33in. deep; windscreen is one-piece curved, laminated safety glass and is not transferrable to rear window. Seats: 37 passenger seats to Continental design with fixed seats and reclining back rests finished in moquette with Velcro fastened paper headrest covers; driver's seat is pedestal type.
Heating and ventilation: Thermostatically controlled system with radiator and twin fans fitted in each parcel rack blowing warm air to ducts above windows; units can be fed or re circulated air; separate demister unit at front; individual forced air vents for each passenger; two double-glazed tinted roof vents. Luggage locker: 265 cu ft area completely within wheelbase with three access flaps on each side.
Toilet: can accommodate up to 150 flushings; extractor fan operates for two minutes after toilet is vacated.
Mechanical specification: Scania CR145 running units with D14 14.2-litre V8 four-stroke diesel with direct-injection mounted longitudinally under floor at rear; engine develops 260 bhp at 2300 rpm and 95kgm at 1200 rpm.
Gearbox: Self Changing Gears type 340 semiautomatic gearbox with four speeds and following ratios 4.28:1, 2.43:1, 1.59:1, 1.00:1 and reverse 5.97:1; 17.75in. SCG fluid flywheel; rear axle ratio is 3.90:1.
Suspension: air springs with two air-bellows at front axle and four at rear.
Brakes: twin circuit air service brakes with spring handbrake; automatic slack adjusters; total braking area 860+ sq in.
