ANOTHER BET company, City of Oxford Motoi Services Ltd„ has ordered Daimler Fleetlint double-deckers for the first time-10 30 ft models with Gardner 6I,K engines.
The new buses will also be fitted with tubelesi tyres. five sets to be supplied by Dunlop ant five by Goodyear.
Previously City of Oxford standardized on AEC double-deckers. operating both Regent high bridge and Renown lowheight models.
Eleetlines have also been ordered by the Staly bridge, Hyde, Mossley and Dukinfield Board10 shortened versions with special bodies b: Northern Counties Motor and Engineerim Co. Ltd.
These buses will feature the reduced fron overhang and entrance ahead of the front axli in addition to the wider entrance behind ill( front axle already employed by Walsal Corporation Transport.
