Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WITH the publication of a further 20 miles of motorway in Berkshire, the route of the 140-mile-long M4 between London and South Wales is now complete. From Wickham, north-west of Hungerford, to Theale, west of Reading, the 164-mile proposed route passes south of Welford, north of Boxford and Winterbourne and south of Chieveley. It continues north of Oare, Hermitage, Frilsham and Bradfield. There it turns south-east to meet the published line for the extension of M4 westwards from Maidenhead by-pass, near Theale.

A line of route for the M4 to the west of this section was published in draft in September 1966, and has still to be confirmed.
