LONG-RANGE fuel tanks are to be fitted to some of Rentco Nationwide's contract hire trailers—some of which will be for the Middle East run.

The additional tanks will give a capacity—depending on trailer size—of up to 2454 litres (540gal). The tanks are made of Zintec sheet and manufacturer, Crane Freuhauf, says that this and the fact that the tanks are separated will stop them from rusting.

The trailers are fitted with 24V fuel pumps giving up to 10 gallons a minute and each tank has its own shut-off valve. Every filler cap is lockable and has a sealing bracket for Customs purposes.
