Perkins Loss: Mr. Frank Perkins, chairman of F. Perkins, Ltd., says that adverse trading conditions have continued in the first nine months of the current year and the company have incurred a loss. A profit is expected next year.

Export Success: British Nu-Swift pressurecharge-operated fire extinguishers are to become standard equipment on vehicles operated by A.T.A.C., Rome's municipal

traffic combine. Previously Italian-made extinguishers were Used.

Memorial Lecture: The 13th Henry Spurrier Memorial Lecture of the Institute of Transport will be delivered by Maj-Gen. G. N. Russell, chairman of British Road Services, on Monday, at the Jarvis Hall, 66 Portland Place, London. W.1. His subject will be

'&0 Production: Production and sales of Garrington constant-velocity joints are now being undertaken by the B.R.D. Co.' Ltd., Aldridge, Walsall, a member of the Guest, Keen and Nettlefold group. Garringtons, Ltd.. previously made these joints, but state that B.R.D. are better equipped to do it.
