MORE TRAFFIC is using the Humber Bridge — 2.7m vehicles last year — the HB Board's annual meeting was told last month.
But the income from tolls nowhere meets interest charges. The Board owes £19.6m interest on the £96.4m it borrowed to build the bridge, which was opened two years ago.
