Carrimore to Move
THE works of Carrimore Six Wheelers Ltd. at Finchley, London, are to be disposed of and the company moved to new premises; the parent company is now " energetically searching for premises in a suitable area ". This was revealed in the chairman's statement at the a.g.m. of The Steel Barrel Scammells and Associated Engineers Ltd.
As well as confirming that trading losses and doubtful prospects were the reasons for closing down the Steel Barrel Co. Ltd. (as reported earlier this year), the statement reveals that G. Scammelt and Nephew Ltd. has ceased trading.
The Steel Barrel Scammells group made a loss of £4,163 last year, but a 10 per cent dividend is being paid for 1964 from reserves
