• Omni Bus, which rose from the ashes of City Vehicle Engineering last April, is expanding. In the past five months the Durham-based firm has increased its workforce from 14 to 20 (CM 30 May-11 June).

In a couple of months it will start building chassis for the award-winning Omni minibus on a revamped production line, Until now it has only been able to build bodies on to the 15 chassis left over from CVE because the receiver sold off the company's chassis building equipment. The Omnis will feature revised heating and ventilation systems.
